Rico, 8mos Chihuahua/Terrer in Marysville, Washington For Sale

Rico was born on August 1, xxxx. He is a Chihuahua/Manchester Terrier mix. He weighs approx 10lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and is current with his shots.
He was taken from his mom when he was 6 weeks old. His owner's son abused him terribly. They finally decided to part with him- and a good Samaritan took him in to save him from that awful home, but was unable to keep him. We took him in, got him vetted- and have been working with him to understand that people are not bad- and that his future is ONLY bright from here!
He is extremely fearful of new people- especially kids. He will bark and distance himself from them. If he feels threatened or cornered, he WILL bite- but would rather run and hide.
He loves going for walks. He loves car rides. He is crate trained. He gets along beautifully with other animals... he LOVES to play!
Once this boy warms up to you- he is a REALLY fun boy. He bounces and plays... and loves to run! However- he DOES take time to warm up to you... and I don't know if he would ever fully warm up to a busy life with children. He needs someone with the time, love, and patients to help him learn that people AREN'T ever going to hurt him again!!
